WHY?
In today’s society there is a big mandate for the young public to educate themselves in the field of programming. This course acquaints young engineers to programming in an authentic environment. The robot reacts to the computer programmer’s directives and each learner is provided with immediate feedback to help them acquire important skills. EV3 language is intended for all programmers and uses a programming language for beginners and veteran programmers. In addition campers may want to investigate a more refined code and familiarize themselves with RobotC. All pupils can start wherever they feel comfortable.
Robotics permits learners to come together and invent, plan and unravel challenges that naturally enhances their understanding of mathematics, technology and science. The skills students develop as they work with robotics is translatable to numerable different professions. Robotics is a rising universal industry that will have momentous consequences on approaching generations.

JUST SOME OF THE REASON FOR ROBOTICS IN EDUCATION.
• The expertise students develop transmits to occupations in a number of different fields.
• Robotics naturally introduces learners to a number of important engineering concepts.
• Students learn while having fun and accomplishing a variety of exciting and authentic tasks.
• Students decipher problems, cooperate and collaborate.
• Everyone is captivated by this unique technology. The machines seem to make choices on their own.
• Science, technology and math are put in perspective.
• Robotics allows an instructor to discuss strategy, invention and problem solving.
• Robotics is the foremost system of educational inclusion today.

Example test for pupils: Turn the right motor clockwise at ½ speed for 3 seconds, wait a second, turn the right motor on clockwise at 3/4 speed for five seconds, wait two seconds, and turn both servos in opposite directions for six seconds.
Use what this sample program is teaching you to write your own similar program. Be sure to start with a new template program from the T: drive (see step 5 on first page). Full motor speed is 140. Motors speeds must be whole numbers so round to the nearest whole number, if needed. Show instructor the program when complete:

What is Computer Science:
CS is posing a problem in such a way that a computer can help us solve it.
1.Design and imagine
2.Share, store, retrieve or manipulate information
3.Communicate
4.Solve problems
